Susan Steele, the owner of Sparrowbush Studio, is a professional calligrapher known for her beautiful handwritten script and design work. A former graphic designer, her calligraphy, illustration, and watercolors have been commissioned by corporations, brands, and private customers. Her training has included national and international educational calligraphy conferences. She has also taken courses in botanical art and illustration at the New York Botanical Garden. Susan serves on the Board of Governors of the Society of Scribes, and is also a member of IAMPETH (International Association of Masters of Penmanship and Teachers of Handwriting).

Sparrowbush Studio projects have included Rolls-Royce of North America specialty mailing designs as well as in-person events for the company. Louis Vuitton on-site appearances covering retail areas within Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Unique projects included calligraphy presentations on antique Louis Vuitton writing desks/trunks, holiday private parties and creating personalized embellishments for in-store events. The studio creates logos, monograms, pen and ink drawings, and watercolor renderings for weddings, corporations, and country clubs. We also work with event planners and private clients. In addition, we provide whole theme wedding packages tailored to each client.
